Happy Hispanic Heritage month, Rebels! Today, we would like to highlight Raul Montenegro outstanding dedication to the environment.
Montenegro is a passionate biologist, environmentalist, and activist from Argentina who has led campaigns against damming, nuclear waste, deforestation, illegal disposal of toxic wastes, and chemical pollution. He has advocated for environmental education, establishing national parks, and environmental legislation.
He also supported many humanitarian groups, particularly ones that sought justice for indigenous populations against logging and mining companies. He has received numerous awards, including the Global 500 Award (twice!), and the Nuclear-Free Future Award.
We admire Montenegro for his outspoken passion to care for our planet, and his dedication to humanity's future.
